Great breakfast burrito and burger. I got grilled veg. instead of hashbrowns in my burrito. It came with about 5 kinds plus avocado. Delicious! Will be back.

The pancakes are bigger than the plate and the Juevos Rancheros come smothered in green chiles. Yum! Great spot to grab breakfast or lunch in La Veta, and they're open on Tuesday! (If you hadn't noticed, most everything is closed on Tuesday in this sweet little town). I wish I could have had everything on the menu. And the story about how the diner got its name is one of twisted bureaucracy, the underdog, and sticking it to the man haha!

Great little dining spot on the corner of the main street of La Veta. Good food at a great price served with fantastic service! Give them a try as you drive through, you won't regret it!

The food was good, service was great and the prices reasonable. The size is deceptive from the outside. It almost looks like a drive-thru place, but when you go in, they have about 10 tables, not squished together. The place is clean. They have a nice variety on the menu.

Adorable little corner diner nestled in Beautiful surroundings of La Veta. Friendly people and good food, ordered turkey club, no bacon.

Dropped in for dinner and was amazed. Sweet little place with some great smiles coming from behind the counter. Our waitress was a sweet heart. Everyone else was pleasurable. Got me a burger and loved the whole thing. Cheese was melted perfectly and kept the juice of the burger in. :) Thank youP.s my Mema enjoyed those eggs

A small, intimate restaurant with great food, big portions, great service, friendly, helpful waitresses.

The waitress and her daughter were superb. Food excellent. Reasonable prices. Busy place on a Saturday morning.

Always busy, and always good! Some of the best pie ever! Plan for a few minutes wait, especially in the summer. This is small dinner and can get loud, so you might want to take your order to go if you don't like to people.

BLT was perfect. Bacon crispy with the right ratio of mayo.

Small place. Friendly people. This guy makes some of the best homemade tartar sauce I have ever tasted. Love to try his fish fry on Friday. We had the BLT and the Reuben. I love them both hope to visit here again.

Server was nice, but slow. Hamburger was over done (dry). Philly Cheese had almost no cheese. Had heard good things from locals so thought we would try it. Wasn't with the time.

Comfort food with no frills or fuss. Service is great and everyone is very friendly. Cook makes his own sauces including tarter and cocktail sauces. Yum!

It doesn't look like much, but the food is incredible. The best breakfast burrito I've ever had. Just perfect. We also had a turkey club---which was great, but there's a limit on what you can do with a club sandwich. Perfect french fries too. Not a big place, so you might have to wait. It's worth it.

We were there the holiday weekend, and even with the festival in town and all the new faces and local and regional vendors in town to serve, this little diner was mighty and bold, had a great breakfast, served with a smile even though I know they were exhausted ! Great breakfast burritos! love the classic decor!

What a great place in La Veta! I've visited La Veta numerous times but this was our first time to stop here. Will definitely come back!

This place was an amazing find on the trip from the sand dunes towards pikes peak. The family all found something we could like, as the menu options were plentiful and not one disappointed. We ordered from the breakfast, specials, and dinner menu and all came exactly as ordered and of top quality. Wait staff was excellent and the restaurant was clean and clearly well loved by owners and patrons alike. Keep up the good work in La Veta!

Everything a little diner ought to be. Maybe not as fast as you might like, but the service is friendly. The food is typical diner fare, but tastes a lot better than I normally expect in this part of the world.

This Hamburgers are the best in thhe area, the Chicken Friend Steak & Eggs is so good the whit pork gravy is one of the best i have had in years.

Pretty good place to stop after driving the Highway of Legends. The staff is nice and I would go back.

Very nice place my wife and I owned this place as The Drive Inn 1985- 1992The new owners have done a wonderful job on the remodel.

7 AM to 2PM. What a GREAT little place. Randi is very attentive to each customer.

I wish that I could give 0 stars. The chef as well as the waitress treated us like we're nothing. We got there around 11 and we waited for a drink and never got it. 40 minutes in we never got a drink. Two other tables came into the building afterwards. After all of this my mother asked for our drinks and the waitress snapped at her that "I'll get it to you when I get it to you". So we waited and she gave the later tables all of their drinks. And the chef was putting his remarks out loud to the customers that we could leave if we were unsatisfied with having no drinks after 40 minutes. They told us to leave. And then a customer passed my mother out. It was disrespectful when we had been patient for over 30 minutes. And just a thought, every person was cared for except the minorities. Don't go there if you aren't Caucasian.

Always yummy! Such a great place to have in the community. Sometimes the service friendliness is a bit off but it's still worth going to always! Smothered breakfast burrito or green chile cheese fries are my go to! I hear the burgers are awesome as well.

Went into this eating establishment last fall. So wonderful! The huevos rancheros may have been the best I ever had. The pie was also delicious. I hope to visit again!
